The original web novel, serialized on KakaoPage from 2016 to 2018, paved the way for the webtoon adaptation from July 25, 2016, to October 10, 2018. It was later adapted into a webtoon illustrated by Jang Sung-rak, also known as Dubu, which ran from March 4, 2018, to December 29, 2021.
The anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures brings Solo Leveling’s battles and character arcs to the screen, retelling Sung Jinwoo’s journey for longtime fans while introducing his story to new viewers.
